Vikara yoga

Starting with our bodies and physical sensations, the practice of yoga goes way beyond the mat. We move, we flow, we stretch, twist, turn our bodies upside down, test limits, grow, and expand. It is exactly this focus on movement that brings us back to the present moment, quiets our mind and allows us to return to our natural state of being: happiness. Vikara yoga is all about coming back to your heart.

We combine many different practices at Vikara and it is blended into one seamless yoga experience.

Ecuador's geographical diversities and richness in culture is the foundation of our school, OUTDOOR ECUADOR.

The Andes mountain range that crosses the land along with the stunning coastline both north and south make for limitless opportunities in adventure, study, travel, and entertainment.

Vikara yoga is an opportunity to see and transform obstacles into opportunities, awakening the divine in ourselves.

Yoga lessons are from Monday to Friday at 9:30 am.

This park is one of the country's first protected areas. Inside the park and surrounding areas, there are archaeological sites from various cultures, from Valdivia more than 5000 years ago to the Manteño - Huancavilca culture, 500 years ago. The park is full of evidence of the ancient inhabitants of Manabi. The protected area includes beaches, several near the waterfront as Salango, Horno de Pan, Sucre, Pedernales and El Sombrerito, and also the famous Isla de la Plata which is considered the small Galapagos island.

Isla de la Plata tour will take a 2 hour guided walk to explore the island and see the birds before returning to the boat for lunch and a short rest. After lunch, you will have the opportunity to snorkel (about 1 hour) where you can observe the coral reef and its various inhabitants, such as fish and turtles.

Duration: Full day

Difficulty: 5/10 The majority of the walk is very easy. The only part that some might consider difficult is the 180 stairs that must be climbed in order to reach the exploration paths.
